With
the opening of Wood Farm Complementary Therapy and Healing Centre
in January 2001 came the fulfilment of my dream. The original
idea for the centre was in 1995 and since then many, many people
have been instrumental in its fruition.
In
its first year the centre helped over seven hundred people, this
growing in 7 years to over 4,000. We are now embarking on our 8th
year and feel privileged to work with so many. It is here for all who want to use
it, to receive professional and caring treatment from qualified
practitioners. It is also my dream that we will work alongside local
GPs and conventional medicine. This dream is now realised with
medical students from UEA coming to Wood Farm to find out more about
Complementary Therapies for the third year running!
All
practitioners offering therapy at Wood Farm do so according to the
code of conduct approved by their national or international governing
bodies, and are fully insured.
On
entering the beautifully converted 17th Century barn all remark
on the amazing feeling of peace and tranquillity. All who come are
made welcome, can enjoy a drink and lap up the peace. Some come
to participate in more than one treatment (one of the great benefits
of having so many therapies under one roof).
Most
of the therapists find it beneficial to be able to work closely
with each other so that the best possible treatment is given. If
one therapist feels they are unable to achieve the best result possible
they will, with the patient's/client's approval consult with or
make a referral to a different therapist, who may have a different
approach.
In March 2004 saw the addition of a
Beauty
Room,
this has proved highly popular, and in August 2005 we added and
wonderful new extension to the centre, thus enhancing and increasing
the therapies we offer!
We also have a small shop that sells some organic food, essentials
oils, relaxation CDs, crystals and more, and
fishing
is available on the main lake, stocked with carp and small pond with
mixed fish. Fishing is by appointment only. So do
email
or call first
To
enhance the work we are doing at Wood Farm, we hold regular talks,
workshops and Open Days. Come and visit, phone or
email to be put on the
mailing list. Do phone for directions before you come, we are in
the heart of the countryside.
